WARDOGS Best Weapons — Early Access Tier List & Prices
The WARDOGS best weapons by role: T-21 and FAL for rifles, PKM for LMG, SVD for marksman — with prices, unlock context and the community consensus, dated to the patch.
The WARDOGS best weapons picture is still settling in Early Access, but the community consensus has already converged: the T-21 is the best all-around rifle, the FAL the best high-end battle rifle, the SVD the marksman pick and the PKM the LMG workhorse. Everything in Early Access costs in-game cash, so weapon choice is also an economy decision — prices below are the community-documented store figures.
Community report · 2026-09-15Data caveat: tierings and prices come from community guides based on the August beta build. BULKHEAD has said the economy changes during Early Access — treat every number as "last verified September 15, 2026" and expect movement after patches. Community report · 2026-09-15

B Tier and Situational
The Galil and UMP-45 are serviceable budget picks; the M16A4 and PP-19 sit lower until recoil patches land. Specialist weapons — RPG-7, NLAW, Carl Gustaf — are class-locked and pricey, but they are the only answer to vehicles and entrenched FOBs; bring one per squad.
Community report · 2026-09-15The Starter Problem
Community reviews consistently call the default AK-47 starter progression frustrating — early matches pit basic guns against unlocked loadouts until cheaper options like the Super-45 or M500 come into reach. The fastest fix is economic, not mechanical: run the low-cost income loops in the money guide for a couple of matches and skip straight to A-tier.
Community report · 2026-09-15A Firing-Range Tester's Five Picks
One Early Access creator spent hours at the firing range testing every primary for recoil, damage, magazine performance and attachments (September 2 build, pre-launch). The five that stood out — notably not the same list as the tier above, which is exactly why we publish both:
| Pick | Weapon | Why it stood out |
|---|---|---|
| First buy | MP9 | light, agile, tight grouping, cheap — works stock while you earn |
| The shotgun that converts | M500 | 6-round pump; full choke + CQR grip + slugs = doorway terror |
| Sniper to build around | SV98 | fast trigger recovery, 10-round stock mag, keeps you on target |
| The LMG surprise | PKM | 100-round belt + bipod: 85/100 test hits, 11,000+ damage in one setup |
| The personal #1 | Galil | 35-round mags, 35/35 on-target consistency — "the rifle I kept coming back to" |
Two interesting disagreements with the tier list above: this tester rated the Galil as the day-one buy (other guides rank it lower), and praised the AK-74 as reliable and predictable with excellent recoil — a useful counterweight to the AK starter complaints. When sources disagree this openly, the honest answer is "both work; pick by feel and budget."

Weapon choice pairs with frames and visibility: tune best settings before judging a gun's recoil, check the full controls table for bipod and zeroing keys, and if fights feel unwinnable, rule out server issues first.
