WARDOGS Best Loadouts — 5 Budget Tiers From $0 to $17K
WARDOGS loadout guide: five tested budget tiers for the assault-medic playstyle — the free-rifle Down Bad kit, T-21, AK-74, Galil and M4A1 builds with prices, weights and medic tips.
The best WARDOGS loadout is the one that pays for itself before you die. Because every gun, med and magazine costs in-game cash, loadouts are budget decisions first — so this guide lays out five tested tiers of the popular assault-medic playstyle, from a near-free starter kit to a ~$17,000 M4A1 build, documented by an Early Access day-one player and cross-checked against community loadout guides.
Community report · 2026-09-13The golden rule across all tiers: heals are not an expense — revives and bandages pay for themselves and level your medic class, which unlocks the money-printing defibrillator at Medic level 11.
Community report · 2026-09-15Tier 1 — "Down Bad" (~$0–2,300)
Your faction's free rifle (5.56, semi/burst), the cheapest bag ($0), armor optional. Always take the $100 parachute (insurance) and the free emergency resuscitator. Two ways to round it out:
- Healer lean: a few bandages — heal teammates for medic XP plus cash back.
- Combat lean: loose ammo instead of meds, ~$900–1,000 total.
With a bigger bag (~$1,500) you fit an extra magazine, ammo, the resuscitator and heals; with armor you are around $2,300. Community report · 2026-09-13
Tier 2 — T-21 Auto (~$4,000)
The T-21 adds automatic fire and is the recommended first gun purchase. First backpack upgrade, one cheap attachment if unlocked — skip the Compact 2D red dot (community verdict: not worth it), a Triclon-style sight is the better spend. A ~$650 backpack adds loose ammo and a spare mag for prolonged fights. Players report this tier making "a couple grand per life" — low risk, modest investment.
Community report · 2026-09-13Tier 3 — AK-74 (~$7,000)
The AK-74 (5.45) is described as "an absolute laser beam": slower fire rate makes it easier to control at mid-range than the T-21, and the iron sights are usable. Tier-1 armor becomes worth it; always re-take the parachute; carry 10 meds, at least one backup ammo stack, and consider a second resuscitator (~$500) for a second fast revive. Tier 4 — Galil (~$7,000–10,000)
The Galil's 50-round magazines unlock early and change the gun's feel; run the $800 backpack with two magazines plus three loose. This is the tier where weight management starts to matter:
- Heavy: smoke grenades, resuscitators, magazines. Light: loose ammo.
- Watch the light/medium threshold — crossing into heavy costs your tactical sprint and slows ADS.
- Level-2 armor is worth it; the $150 tactical-vest upgrade generally is not (weight for little gain).
- Around Medic level 11, swap in defibrillators: defib + bandage on the same player is roughly $2,000+.
Tier 5 — M4A1 (~$17,000)
The endgame-feel AR: 30-round 5.56, fast fire rate, worth every attachment. Loadout pattern: level-3 helmet + level-2 armor + level-2 vest, parachute, defibrillators with the big battery (about 3× the charges, ~4–5 revives each — but 2 kg vs 1.63 kg, and it can push you into the heavy tier), 3–4 loose ammo stacks and heals. Players running this tier report $20,000–100,000 earned per spawn.
Community report · 2026-09-13Weight Tricks and Etiquette
- The parachute refund: it weighs 2.5 kg — drop it after landing (or after a spawn-vehicle teleport) to go lighter for free. Community report · 2026-09-13
- Big backpacks attract fire. Visible loot bags get focused; the extra capacity may not be worth the attention. Community report · 2026-09-13
- Revive etiquette that saves money: drag the downed player behind cover, loot their resuscitator and use it on them — faster for both of you. Community report · 2026-09-13
Power-Leveling Note
The community fastest path to Medic 11: run the AMP9 (cheap, superb SMG) and revive everything that moves — then switch to assault rifles, which outperform SMGs outside extreme close range. Longer-term grinds: Assault level 30 unlocks 60-round M4 magazines; the FAL sits behind a long XP requirement, so plan around it. Community report · 2026-09-13
